The Innovation Exchange Goes West

Skillnet has recently announced the nationwide expansion of The Innovation Exchange, Ireland’s innovation marketplace that connects large companies facing digital transformation challenges with technology companies that can fast track the solutions.

The initiative is a partnership between Skillnet Ireland and Furthr (formerly Dublin BIC).

At the Digital West Conference in ATU Mayo last week ,  Galway Technology Centre was named the first regional channel partner of The Innovation Exchange. The partnership will offer SMEs located in the west of Ireland, and operating in the digital transformation space, the unique opportunity to pitch to, and collaborate with, large corporates looking to access innovation.

Speaking at the launch , GTC CEO Oliver Daniels noted;

This new association will allow us to provide even more support to those businesses and the wider scaling ecosystem in the west.

We are honoured to have been chosen as the first regional channel partner for the Innovation Exchange and we look forward to seeing the benefits of this partnership felt across the west of Ireland in the coming months and years”.

Last week, The Innovation Exchange  Furthr  and skillnetireland.ie visited GTC and presented the programme to Minister Anne Rabbitte and Senator Pauline O’Reilly followed by an official launch of GTC as partners at #Digital West Conference in ATU Mayo | ATU – Atlantic Technological University (gmit.ie) and finally an Innovation Exchange breakfast briefing hosted by galwaychamber
