Following on from our monthly member meetup in November, a group of GMIT final year marketing and sales students got the opportunity to hear from multiple GTC member companies on the role of marketing and sales within their business.
Member companies Keltie (Intellectual Property firm), Hillwalk Tours, Employability, Siren, and 9th impact all provided insights to the final year students. Each company provided different insights based on their own experiences, and as the company offerings, team sizes, and sector all varied, the students got a well-rounded insight into the ‘real-world’.
It was great working with the GMIT business school, particularly Lorna Moynihan, marketing lecturer, whose interest in bringing the students to GTC prompted this visit to happen. We here at GTC enjoy working with the next generation of students coming out of the local third level institution. Many of our own members within the building owe their debt of gratitude to these institutions as they would have attended them in the past.
