We have had a busy month with lots of updates on developments in the centre and new tenants:

Gradam:

We are delighted to have been shortlisted to the final two companies in our category. The awards ceremony takes place this Thursday in The Westwood Hotel at 6.30pm and would love if any of our tenants were available to join us.

Ciorcal Gaeilge:

Our Ciorcal Gaeilge will meet on Monday at 11am in the canteen. This informal meeting is organised by Pauline and the team in Employability Galway (unit 9a), please call in and practice a cúpla focal, Pauline is planning a cácá seacláid for the occasion.

Galway Independent Feature:

On April 13th we had a 12 page supplement in The Galway Independent, thank you all who contributed, we received very positive feedback. You can see theepaper here

Website:

We launched our new website in April, www.gtc.ie The site was designed and built by Black Pug Studio in unit 18 and the video was shot by Treelight Pictures in Unit 16. We are thrilled with the results.

Health, Safety & Fire Please email [email protected] if you would like to attend a Manual Handling course, Occupational First Aid Course and fire safety. These will be run during the summer and if possible we would like to have one person attend from each unit. A fire drill will take place in the next few weeks. We will notify you about this nearer the time.

Tenant News / Nuacht na dTionóntaí:

There have been lots of movements in the last few weeks with some new tenants joining us in June:

  • We would like to congratulate Wayfair on their move to their new building on the Tuam Road this week. GTC worked really well as a base for them as they grew their European centre here and we wish them well with their continued expansion.
  • We would like to welcome IPSwitchhttp://www.ipswitch.com/company/news.aspx to GTC. IP Switch are an IDA client company from the US establishing a European base from Galway. They will be based in Unit 4 in GTC during this phase of their growth.
  • In June we will welcome James, Eimear and the team from Hillwalk Tours, http://www.hillwalktours.com/ who will join us in unit 6. Hillwalk tours are expanding after being based in the Innovation Hub in GMIT.
  • Siren Solutions will also join us in unit 13, Siren have been based in the Insight Centre for Data Analytics in NUIG http://siren.solutions/
  • Connacht Accountancy have recently expanded and will move to unit 19, we would like to congratulate Jane, Hilary and the rest of the team.http://www.connachtaccountancy.com/
  • SL Controls have recently announced their expansion with the recruitment of 20 additional roles across their bases. The company have a base in Unit 26. We would like to congratulate Keith and the rest of the team http://www.slcontrols.com/
