Galway Technology Centre is delighted to announce we will be holding a special event to celebrate the history of the centre and also to provide some details about why were are very excited about the future.

Scaling Our Legacy will take place on Friday 23rd April 2021, from 11.30am.

This virtual celebration will include contributions from An Tánaiste and Minister for Enterprise, Trade and Employment, Leo Varadkar TD; Minister for State for International and Road Transport and Logistics, Hildegarde Naughton TD and David Minton, Northern and Western Regional Assembly (NWRA).  Other high profile speakers will be announced in the coming days.

In this video, Noreen Conway, Acting Manager of GTC tells us more about the event…

Galway Technology Centre has now been operating since 1994. Like many organisations who operate in the technology and enterprise space, our primary focus is forward facing towards the future. However 25+ years is an important milestone which we believe deserves to be recognised, particularly when you see the distance that Galway Technology Centre has travelled in that time.

We had originally planned on celebrating this milestone last year, but in light of the Covid-19 pandemic, it was decided to postpone until 2021.

This celebration also comes at an important point in the development of Galway Technology Centre as we move towards an expanded facility which will allow the centre to have even more of an impact into the future.  During our event we will be providing additional details about our important AcademyWest expansion.

We hope you’ll be join us on 23rd April for Scaling Our Legacy.
