Robert Rosenberg

We were delighted to have Robert Rosenberg meet with several of the companies based here at GTC over the past few weeks.

Robert Rosenberg is entrepreneur-in-residence at BioExel and Portershed, both in Galway, Ireland.  He brings three decades of experience and leadership in academic, corporate, and government collaborations.  Bob has worked to advance entrepreneurship and the knowledge economy in Chicago, Illinois – as an educator, entrepreneur, investor, mentor, and researcher.  He has been a leader in the development of Chicago’s angel community; the creation of the Chicago Innovation Exchange, IIT Innovation Center and the Skokie tech center; and the city’s strategy for technology development.

In Ireland he has mentored four cohorts of accelerator companies as well as startups from across the west.  He has been instrumental in raising investments in growth stage Irish companies Contego, PipIt Global, VideoSherpa.  He has also organized Western Edge events to encourage investment in – and support for – startups.

Here at GTC, he met with representatives from Hillwalk Tours, Siren, Med-Di-Dia, Qpercom, Sourcedogg, Chipright and Aptarus. These companies will all benefit from his valuable input. This hopefully will be the start of great relationship moving forward which will benefit the companies here at GTC.
