Summer Time means Summer Camps! They are booking up fast but we have gathered a list of fun and educational camps with some places left for summer 2017.
GMIT Young Entrepreneur Summer Camp
GMIT School of Business will be running a free Young Entrepreneur Summer Camp for 20 second level students. The camp will help second level students to develop ideas and present to a panel of judges. The programme will span idea generation to commercialisation and will involve workshops, guest speakers, field trips and practical exercises.
Age Group: Second level students aged 12 – 17
Cost: Free
Dates: Monday 17th – Friday 21st of July

Just Art It Summer Camps
This summer get creative at Just Art It (pictured above), Galway’s newest cultural space on Dominic Street.
Just Art It have arranged a number of summer camps throughout July for all ages including an Art and Yoga Camp and a Print Summer Camp. Camps are delivered by practitioners of art and yoga.
Age Group: 8 – 16 years
Cost: from €150 per child
Materials are provided but some classes will require a packed lunch and a yoga mat.

Bio-EXPLORERS Summer Science Camps at NUI Galway
These camps provide a fun take on science where children can get involved and experiment as real scientists do. Small participant numbers take part in hands-on fun activities under the guidance of well-trained, interactive demonstrators.
Age Group: 8 – 13 years
Cost: €160 per child
Dates and Registration: Camp 3 (17th – 21st July)

Learnit LEGO® Based Camps
LEGO® themed camps designed to inspire and develop the skills of tomorrow’s engineers. Each camp covers concepts including mechanics, robotics, construction, science and creativity. Children will engage in a variety of STEM concepts through fun, hands-on challenges.
Age Group: 6 – 8 years / 9 – 12 years
Cost: €120
Dates and Registration: Monday 17th July to Friday the 21st of July

Designer Minds Summer Camp
Hands-on projects, challenges and experiments across Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Maths, otherwise known as STEAM!
Age Group: 10 – 13 years
Cost: €120
Dates and Registration: Monday the 14th of August to Friday the 18th of August

Brigits Garden Summer Camps
Nature-based camps that give young children an opportunity to get their hands mucky and make some new friends! 5 camps include “Fun with Nature” for 5 – 8 year olds and “Survival Skills” for 9 – 12 year olds where they will learn teamwork and leadership skills.
Age Group: 5 – 8 years/ 9 – 12 years
Cost: €59 to €70

National Aquarium Science 4 Summer Camps
Students will take part in a range of activities that help them to explore sea life, the shore and its surrounding habitats. They will learn how engineering keeps the aquarium running and will take part in the weekly Knex challenge as well as some hands-on experiments!
Age Group: 5 – 7 years / 8 – 12 years
Cost: €50 – €100
