The purpose of our current website is to provide information about the centre and host content of relevance to our audience.  As such we provide opportunities to connect with us through newsletters and contact forms. In addition, we monitor our website activity to continuously improve the visitor experience.

How we collect your information
We collect information from you when you register on our site, subscribe to a newsletter, fill out a form or enter information on our site.

We gather information in two ways:

  1. Through cookies as you browse our site,
  2. And through information you supply through the website.

Our website gathers information from you as an anonymous user of the site through Google Analytics. This provides us with information about how people find, and use, our website. It helps us to improve how we develop the website and provide the right information and content.

We use Mailchimp, a newsletter service, to collect and store newsletter subscriptions and un-subscriptions. This allows us to send news about GTC and stories from our community to people who want to keep in touch.

What personal information do we collect from the people that visit our website?
Google Analytics does not provide personal information such as names or email addresses.

When contacting us on our site, as appropriate, you may be asked to enter your name, email address, phone number or other details to help you with your requests and communications.

Subscription to our newsletter requires the storage of your email address on Mailchimp.

Removal of your personal information
Subscriptions to our newsletter can be cancelled at any time through a link in the email footer. At any time you may contact us at [email protected] to request the details and removal of any information we have stored.

How we use your information

We may use the information we collect from you when you register, sign up for our newsletter, respond to a survey or marketing communication, surf the website, or use certain other site features in the following ways:

  • To improve our website in order to better serve you.
  • To allow us to better service you in responding to your customer service requests.
  • To send periodic emails regarding events and products.
  • To follow up with you after correspondence.

How we protect your information
We only provide articles and information. We currently do not process transactions through our website and therefore do not ask for credit card numbers

Any personal information is contained within secured platforms and is only accessible by a limited number of persons who have special access rights to such systems, and are required to keep the information confidential.

Third parties to whom we may disclose information include organisations such as An Garda Síochána.
