Our Partners

Galway Technology Centre Ltd. was set-up in 1994 by Galway Chamber of Commerce and Industry to foster and develop emerging technology enterprises through the provision of dedicated technology incubation space. Since its inception, the spirit of partnership has been central to the company's core objectives and goals.
In the year 2000, Galway Chamber of Commerce and Industry, with support from Enterprise Ireland and WESTBIC re-developed the Centre as an advanced technology space for emerging high growth enterprises. In 2002, Galway County & City Enterprise Board assisted the Centre to set-up The Cube, a new desk incubation facility for very early stage enterprises seeking a high quality, technology enhanced working environment.
The company is currently managed on a day to day basis by WESTBIC who implement company strategy on behalf of the Board of Directors. Board members bring multi-sectoral and industry specific skills and experience to the company and its composition reflects the company’s partnership ethos with both public and private sectors being represented.
Since its inception, GTC has received valuable support from many groups and individuals in the public and private sectors. Some have made contributions to the Centre at Board level, others through advice and assistance and through their initial support for the concept. These people and organisations are too many to thank individually but we wish to acknowledge their contribution as being essential to the development of the success story that is Galway Technology Centre.
